NYC - Day 3 - Iconic Sites

New York, NY

Today we went to the Rockefeller Center for views of the skyline. There was also a little time to explore, people-watch, and have lunch. Nothing fancy for me, just a hot dog from one of the world-famous hot-dog carts.

Then we boarded a subway to Brooklyn for a walk across the bridge back to Manhattan and iconic views.

We walked to the 9/11 Memorial for a tour and some time to explore. It was a very moving experience and I recommend the guided tour. Our guide gave great insights and personal stories that really touched my soul.

Next door, was the One World Observatory. The elevator ride up the 102 floors takes less than a minute but there is a cool video playing that shows the progression of how NYC looked when first founded until now. The "Big Reveal" at the top invoked feelings of awe and pride. Just amazing! Afterward, you are treated to 360 degree views of the city which were stunning.
